The International E. M. Forster Society aims at promotion of scholarly research on E. M. Forster and his literary works. Our intention is to offer all Forsterians – both professionals and literary aficionados – a place to come together, meet, and exchange information. We are interested in all and any kinds of activities which involve the work and the person of E. M. Forster.
The Society was formed in June 2010 during the conference Polish Aspects of E. M. Forster held in Warsaw on the 40th anniversary of Forster’s death. We have started as a small group of friends, gradually gaining more members through our Facebook page and Facebook group. On E. M. Forster’s 136th birthday, the time has come to launch our own website. All these earlier resources remain so if you are a Facebook user, please, make sure to join us there to get the latest news as soon as possible. You are also welcome to become members of our Society.
We hope you will keep coming back here in search for information about the writer, as well as current events and publications connected with his life and work. We also hope that you will help us develop the resources available on this website, sending us information about related publications for our bibliographies and about Forster-related events which you organize or know about. We will also be happy to help in promotion of books and journals related to E. M. Forster. If there is anything you would like to find on the page, any kind of activity you would like the Society to be a part of, please, make sure to let us know what it could be.
We also hope to see you all in person on the 29th and 30th of September 2016 in Olsztyn at the first conference officially organized by our Society.
